Localization and Display Settings
Localization and display settings present Rodent Farm's gameplay information across different languages, layouts, input methods, and sensory preferences. Map view, Workday, and List view provide equivalent farm commands and rewards.
- Supported layouts
- Portrait displays as narrow as 320 CSS pixels, landscape orientation, and 200% or 400% text enlargement.
- Language support
- Long translated labels and right-to-left text.
- Control methods
- Touch, keyboard-only play, and switch access.
- Motion and power settings
- Reduced-motion and low-power modes use static art.
- Audio
- Music and sound effects have separate controls, captions, and visible equivalents for important ambience.
Equivalent information
Text and semantic controls carry the mechanical meaning of a screen. Motion, color, haptics, sound, camera effects, weather particles, and route icons reinforce that information. The Forecast Board, for example, states each Dispatch effect in text before acceptance.
War Squirrels represents lanes with numbers, names, patterns, and text as well as color. Its scene-skip presentation supplies the same result information and reward as the animated resolution.
Layout and timing
At larger text sizes, resource chips collapse before Collect All and the current Workday action lose prominence. Bottom sheets close one at a time through Back or Escape and return focus to the prior control. List view retains the same semantic actions when a dense Map or long label is difficult to scan.
Timers update quietly about every 30 seconds per area apart from meaningful ready and expired thresholds. Absolute local time is also available. Ready actions use focusable text labels and nonflashing indicators that are distinguishable without color.
Sensory presentation
Reduced-motion and low-power settings substitute static art, while mute preserves captions and visual rhythm. These settings do not change production, Dispatch, crafting, or battle outcomes.
Transcripts are available for Town Mementos and ceremonies, and accessibility settings support the same farm economy across the available display and input paths.
