Controls, views, text, and presentation options that keep Rodent Farm actions available across input and display needs.

Accessibility

Rodent Farm makes the same farm actions available through its Map, Workday, and List views. Touch, keyboard, and switch controls, together with text and presentation options, provide equivalent ways to manage the farm.

Views and controls

Map presents the isometric clearing, Workday organizes a short return visit, and List presents ready actions, Buildings, Work Orders, Projects, Notices, Dispatch, and Settings. The views share the same farm commands and rewards. On desktop, keyboard focus and Enter or Space activate the same actions as touch, while Escape and Back close an open surface; buildings take precedence over overlapping decorations.

List supports planning and keyboard play. Bottom sheets do not stack, and closing one returns focus. Its route also supports the complete War Squirrels plan through a linear sequence of squad selection, enemy-plan reading, lane assignment, tactic selection, confirmation, and result reading.

Text and presentation

The interface accommodates a 320 CSS-pixel portrait display or landscape orientation, and remains readable at 200% and 400% text enlargement. It accommodates long translated labels and right-to-left languages. At larger text sizes, resource chips collapse first, while Collect All and the current Workday action remain prominent.

Text and semantic equivalents communicate motion, color, haptics, sound, and camera effects. Reduced-motion and low-power presentation use static art, while music and sound effects have independent controls; captions and visible equivalents convey important ambience. Ready actions use focusable text labels and nonflashing indicators that are distinguishable without color.

Timers and status

Timers update quietly about every 30 seconds per area, except at meaningful ready and expired thresholds, and absolute local time is available alongside a countdown. Text labels and distinct silhouettes identify construction, locked, producing, ready, and capped buildings. The Civic Forecast Board supplies route effects in text rather than through weather art or color alone.

Scenes and War Squirrels

Dedication Scenes can be read or watched in normal, still, mute, or reduced-motion presentation with the same decorative outcome. Mementos and ceremonies have transcripts, and the "Skip battle scene; read result" option preserves the War result and Memento outcome. In War Squirrels, numbered and named lanes use patterns as well as color; screen readers receive a concise result summary, while static cards, captions, high contrast, scene skip, enlarged text, and right-to-left layouts preserve the same resolution.
