Work Order allocation directs a capped amount across eligible producers of one class, using proportional shares and stable rounding.

Work Order Allocation

Work Order allocation directs a stated, capped amount of a producer class to a named destination. The system operates across eligible buildings of that class, connecting the Work Order Board to a civic, delivery, or craft order while other output enters the Stockpile.

Order wording
A named limit, such as "up to 20 Acorns from any Acorn Patch"
Start condition
The stated amount is available
Scope
Eligible buildings in the named producer class
Split
Proportional to rates with stable rounding
Use all matching buildings
Selects available contributors

Capped destination

An order transfers only its stated amount. The L8 Pondworks order, for example, reserves listed Acorns, Wood, or finished Plank Bundles up to the Petition ceiling, while remaining eligible output continues through ordinary storage.

Proportional share

When several buildings contribute, their shares are proportional to their production rates and equal-rate ties use stable rounding. Building placement therefore leaves the class-wide total unchanged.

Available contributors

The optional use-all setting determines which matching buildings contribute to the capped order. It does not alter producer rates, the order cap, or the total amount. A missing input or full target appears as a Blocked Work Order with its stated condition.
