Blocked Work Orders pause on a named input, capacity, expiry, or category condition and provide a recovery path, including Return to Stockpile where available.

Blocked Work Orders

A blocked Work Order is an order whose displayed capacity, input, expiry, or other condition prevents progress. The Board identifies the condition and presents the corresponding recovery path.

State
Progress paused by a named condition
Common conditions
Missing input, capacity, target expiry, or another active order in the category
Recovery
Resolve the condition or use Return to Stockpile where offered
Stockpile result
Accepted output is freed for normal storage

Conditions

Blocks report when inputs have not all arrived, storage or a target has no room, a target has expired or retired, or another order in the same category is active. The stated condition identifies the part of the order that requires attention.

Return to Stockpile

Return to Stockpile frees the accepted portion of a blocked order for the Stockpile, the normal destination for output outside a capped order. Capacity blocks can also clear when the required storage or target space becomes available.

State transition

Before processing, a confirmed order can be cancelled for one exact return of its accepted inputs. When a target expires before use, unaccepted input remains unconsumed and the order presents its return option. A complete batch moves to Apply and cannot produce a second cancellation return.
