Next-need explanation

The Clipboard interprets the current goal after Collect All has settled ordinary production. Its ranking concerns the named need rather than every feature visible on the farm, giving construction, material conversion, and return timing a shared planning context.

When two needs are close in estimated time, the display retains both alternatives. Free inventory, recipe duration, planned return time, and permanent material commitments can then distinguish the more suitable current path.

Reservations and state

Goods reserved by an accepted Work Order belong to that order and are excluded from the free inventory available to another need. The current receipt and the named destination record these commitments, while the Clipboard translates their effect on the current need.

Exact prices, rates, prerequisites, and timer values remain visible in the relevant building or project inspector. The Clipboard presents their relationship to a need instead of replacing those state displays.

Historic name

The Foreman's Clipboard was called Farm Pulse in earlier versions of Rodent Farm.
