How capped class-wide Work Orders commit ordinary goods to a named destination, leave other output in Stockpile, and return accepted inputs before processing.

Reserved Goods and Reservations

A reservation is a quantity of ordinary goods committed to a named destination through a capped Work Order. Reserved goods remain identified in collection receipts until their Order is processed, returned, or applied, while unmatched production continues to Stockpile.

Order scope
One producer class and one active Order per category
Board capacity
Up to three cards: civic work, delivery, and craft
Allocation
The Order sends its named amount to its destination
Early use
The L8 basic Order reserves Pondworks Petition materials

Capped class-wide allocation

Each Order states a ceiling, such as up to 20 Acorns from any Acorn Patch, and begins when the stated amount is available. Selecting all matching buildings broadens the available producer pool without changing total output. When several eligible producers contribute, their shares follow their rates with stable rounding.

Reservations are distinct from free inventory for planning purposes. A Civic Need counts only unreserved goods toward its remaining requirement, while a Petition receives materials only when they are donated.

Order lifecycle

Draft Orders can be revised or closed before they accept goods. After confirmation and before processing, cancellation returns accepted inputs once. An Order with a missing input, full destination, or capacity issue becomes blocked and can return its accepted goods to Stockpile. A completed batch proceeds through Apply batch instead of cancellation.
