A retired trading system from earlier Rodent Farm versions, whose modern counterpart is the Hospitality exchange offered through Neighbor Notices.

NPC trade

NPC trade was a general exchange system in earlier versions of Rodent Farm. Its modern counterpart is Hospitality, a published substitution offered by named visitors through Neighbor Notices.

Status
Retired from earlier versions.
Current counterpart
Published Hospitality substitutions through Neighbor Notices.
Notice limit
One Neighbor Notice and one Town Notice may be actionable at a time.
Example substitution
1 Aged Cheese is equivalent to 2 Cheese plus 5 Coins.

Hospitality

Hospitality substitutions use named ordinary goods and display their terms with the Neighbor Notice. The published example treats 1 Aged Cheese as equivalent to 2 Cheese plus 5 Coins; individual notices show their own available terms.

Notices

The Town Noticeboard organizes visitor requests alongside Town Notices, Surveys, and market-style offers. Neighbor Notices last 72 hours from first view, with a 24-hour completion grace for accepted notices. The noticeboard retains the social character of earlier trade systems while focusing each offer on a specific request or exchange.
