Community-tested estimates for Civic Needs, Public Works, storage recovery, Dispatch cycles, and qualifying Farm Bucks timer finishes.

Farming Formulas

Farming Formulas collects community-tested estimates for recurring Rodent Farm systems. The expressions describe relationships visible in current offers, inspectors, and receipts; displayed values remain the settled values for an individual farm.

Need ETA
max(0, remaining amount - free inventory) / displayed net rate.
Public Work cost
Approximate rounded base x (1 + 0.18 x completed Works) x adjustment.
Cost adjustment
0.85 to 1.10, fixed when the offer appears.
Dispatch cycle
travel time + (goods needed x minutes to replace one input bundle).

Need and capacity

A Civic Need uses the lesser of its remaining amount and unreserved inventory. The ETA estimate subtracts only inventory free for that need. For a requirement of 20 goods, 12 free goods, and a displayed net rate of 2 per minute, the estimated wait is (20 - 12) / 2 = 4 minutes.

Ordinary accepted output is the lesser of potential output since settlement and available storage space. The Lost-and-Found Cart uses the lesser of 15% of affected capacity and potential output after the first capacity hit during its 30-minute watch.

Public Works

Community testing approximates a shown Public Work cost as rounded base cost x (1 + 0.18 x completed Works) x catch-up adjustment. The adjustment ranges from 0.85 to 1.10 and remains fixed for the displayed offer. Public Work Build durations use their displayed base time within a range of 5 minutes to 24 hours, with one global Build active at a time.

Dispatch

Dispatch comparisons combine travel with replacement time for the required goods. In a community example, Road requires 10 bundles and 40 minutes while River requires 11 bundles and 36 minutes. With four minutes needed to replace a bundle, both cycles total 80 minutes.

Timer finishes

For an eligible timer, the Farm Bucks finish price is max(1, ceiling(remaining seconds / 300)). Eligibility requires both 60 seconds and 10% of the original duration to have elapsed.

Situation Calculation Result
Cart: capacity 80, post-cap output 20 Lesser of 12 and 20 12 recovery
Finish timer: 901 seconds remain Ceiling(901 / 300) 4 Farm Bucks, if eligible
Finish timer: 900 seconds remain Ceiling(900 / 300) 3 Farm Bucks, if eligible
